Chippokes Farm and Forestry Museum preserves the traditional ways of life that were predominant in the plantations and woods of mid-19th century Virginia. Visitors to the museum can explore the reconstructed farm buildings that contain the tools used in trades including blacksmithing, farming and carpentry. A variety of collected antique tools and implements helps guests learn about the technological developments that improved cultivation methods as well as see rare artifacts from the 1800s. The museum is located inside Chippokes Plant State Park, which is south across the Hampton Roads Bay from Williamsburg.
